With wrinkled face and weak bones, I sit in an empty house all alone, I am a mother of very ambitious children , But they have a very busy life, Their time is now spent in making millions, Their life now moves at a very great speed, In the life's beautiful garden, I am just a weed.😔😔 Sitting alone on the bed of an empty room,she often reminisces of the happy home filled with love,happiness and the chirping sound of her children.The journey of ,"Mom,you are my world" to "Mom,dont disturb me,I am very busy" was rather quick and heart wrenching for her. Heart filled with sadness and body racking with great pain and suffering,she waits for her son to take her home from a place he told her to stay for only a few days..What she fails to understand is how she landed up from 'Our Home" to 'Old Age Home' A young man once asked,"Why is it fair for parents to send their children to boarding school and a sin if children send their parents to Old Age Home where they are well looked after by the loving and affectionate Care Givers".The answer is rather simple.There is a huge difference between educational journey and ABANDONMENT.
"Slow down Son,or You may fall"said the mother to her son while teaching her to walk,only to be left ,crying and helpless at the door of the Old Age Home years later.
Parents slow down their pace to match their kids steps only to be told they are sluggish and lazy years later. Children often forget how many times have the parents replied to their silliest questions and find their conversations mindless blabbering now. Why are parents who have spent sleepless nights nursing their unwell children back to health left alone during their ailments. Why do children get so busy in life that they dont even have a few minutes to call their parents and enquire about their well being. But what we all forget is that Time flies and old age is inevitable.Our actions are being deposited in the memory bank of our children too.We will reap in the future what we will sow now.
So spend time with your parents while you can,because when you look up from your busy life ,they might not even be there anymore.
It is sad to think that in any culture we would forget the great wisdom and value of our senior citizens, but I guess it has become a universal plight. Thank you for the reminder to look past the obvious in placing value on others. Great post!

Its a fact Meena..we used to witness this alot in our society now.But the hardest thing is people never realize the value of someone or something, they will realize all those once its lost forever..
